The 2025 INEFF Conference will offer a two-day programme of practice-as-research film work and installations, workshops, papers, and more. The conference is free to attend.
Experimental fiction films and practice-as-research work will be available to view throughout the conference on screens and in spaces throughout the ground floor. Papers and PaR statements accompanying practical work are available on our website in advance of the conference. The hour-long panels will each have four to five contributors taking part, and will be an opportunity for a deeper discussion around each contributor's work, with full participation of all attendees. |
Each evening will feature a screening of a selection of the best films submitted to the previous editions of our Festival, followed by a deep critical discussion around these films, led by our academic conference contributors. These sessions bring our conference and festival together, helping us to define the field of Experimental Fiction Film.
On the second day, we will also have a special panel focused on the upcoming edited volume entitled Fiction Filmmaking as Research. The editors will explain the value and importance of the book, while hosting a discussion with the volume contributors.
The conference will be followed by our 2025 Experimental Fiction Film Festival at Cultplex on Saturday 19th July.
